Duke students bond as part of Krzyzewskiville tenting tradition

The Duke students put up a tent city in advance
of Saturday's game against North Carolina
Duke has always been a part of my life
So when I got in here it wasn't a question
it was I I knew I was gonna I knew
I would be here because it's really random but I
feel like it's representative of Cayville
In order to hammer down these stakes here um it
frozen the night before so we found an old banana
and we smashed the steaks in because it's frozen
And so it was hammer-like and that's the Caville chart
I've been a part of Cayville all 4 years
I tended my freshman year and then I became a
line monitor after that
Um I I'm just deeply uh motivated by the team
My parents met tempting for the 1992 UNC basketball game
uh so it means a lot to me personally and
I'm I'm happy to continue making Caville a place where
people can meet each other and and have fun
We did the Scion King 2 so we could do
like this like sinless pride
And um I say Evanston is um slim
Coming up right here we have what does it It's
not as clear anymore
At the beginning it was very clear
It's like a little walkway over a boat and so
we have like a little drawbridge here and then we
made this sort of Lion King-esque sign out of boxes
We had an inflatable lion who has since passed away
unfortunately but
And then we have yeah yeah yeah it was a
little bit rough
Are your sleeping bags in there and we're this concerned
Yeah
This is my Duke experience to be honest I wouldn't
have it any other way
And so explaining it to people whether they understand it
or not I love to be called crazy
You can call me crazy anytime
I am crazy and I love it
