North Carolina Courage Coach Sean Nahas won't be at Sunday's game due to an "unforeseen medical issue."
Nathan Thackeray, the team's assistant coach, will fill in for the 4 p.m. game against the Washington Spirit.

The NC Courage made the announcement Sunday morning on X, asking for Nahas' privacy and writing, "We appreciate respect for Sean's privacy and look forward to having him back with the team soon."
The NC Courage has already played 10 games this season, winning 3 games and tying another 3. The team lost to the San Diego Wave 5-2 last week.
The team is ranked 11 out of 15 in the National Women's Soccer League's 2025 season.
