Publix recalls GreenWise organic frozen berries due to potential E. Coli

Publix is recalling GreenWise Organic Frozen blueberries and Whole Mixed berries due to the potential E. Coli contamination.

All lots of berries are included in the recall. The affected bags were shipped to Publix stores across eight states, including North Carolina. Stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia also received contaminated berries. 

Publix stopped selling the berries in June, after a recall to Lot Code 60404 was issued. 

E. Coli can cause severe stomach cramping, diarrhea and vomiting. 

Most healthy people will recover within a week, but some may experience serious complications. Children, older adults and those with a weakened immune system may require hospitalization.
