Chicco recalls 30,000 child car seats for safety violation risk

30,000 child booster seats are on recall for failing to properly restrain a child and an increased risk of injury in a crash.

Chicco has recalled its MyFit Zip Air Harness and Booster child restraint seats with model numbers 07079561970070 and 04079561190070.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the car seats may allow chest movement in a crash, a violation of requirements set by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.
