A coastal low that brings our area periods of rain Monday and Tuesday will bring another chance of high winds, high surf and ocean overwash to portions of the Outer Banks.

This, according to the National Weather Service in Newport and Morehead City.

In addition to high surf within surf zones, ocean overwash is once again a concern.

Additional inundation of one-to-three feet is expected within the coastal flood alerts for portions of the Outer Banks through Wednesday morning.

WRAL has reported extensively in recent weeks about the several homes that have collapsed into the ocean.

Gale Watches and Warnings are in effect Tuesday all up and down the North Carolina coastline.

This is further emphasized by a Wind Advisory for the Outer Banks, where winds can gust up to 50 mph through Tuesday.
