Airsoft gun brought to West Millbrook Middle School

The principal of the school confirmed in a letter to parents that an airsoft gun was brought to the campus Wednesday.

A student brought an airsoft-style weapon to West Millbrook Middle School Wednesday.

According to a letter sent out by the principal of West Millbrook, Kelly Aman, the student showed the gun to other students and gave it to another.

Aman said Wake County Public School System Security and the Wake County Sheriff's Office assisted the school with the investigation.

Aman asked parents to be vigilant and monitor the activities of their children.
