General Mills on Monday announced a voluntary recall of its five-pound bags of Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour.
The packages have a best-if-used-by date of Sept. 6, 2020 only. The FDA said on its website the recall was being issued for the potential presence of E. coli O26, which was discovered during sampling of the five-pound bag product.

There currently have not been any direct consumer reports of confirmed illnesses related to this product. All other types of Gold Medal Flour are not affected by this recall.
General Mills had a similar recall of the same kind of flour back in January for flour with a best-if-used-by date of April 20, 2020.
